El trabajo durante la unidad ha estado destinado a la decoración de pasillos para la Semana Temática que este año ha estado dedicada a Almería, los alumnos/as de 6º han realizado maquetas de maravillas naturales de la provincia: Cabo de Gata, Punta Entinas, el desierto de Tabernas, las Cuevas de Sorbas, Calar Alto, La playa de los muertos y otras.

VALORACIÓN, La actividad ha llevado a los alumnos/as más tiempo del que se había previsto en principio. Además se han producido gran cantidad de problemas con la tecnología que han hecho que se retrase mucho la tarea. El resultado final ha sido bastante bueno a pesar de todo. El contenido de los cuentos creados dista bastante de los cuentos clásicos y hasta del tema propuesto.

Vocabulary about languages and nacionalities. Vocabulario relativo a nacionalidades y lenguajes. Expresing quantity, packaging ( tin, can, jar, bottle,et..) and the origin./ Expresión de la cantidad (kilos, litros) y el continente (envases) origen y procedencia

ASSESSMENT/ VALORACIÓN

The lack of time due to the teacher's absence, forced us to change some of the tasks that had been planned for this unit.
WRITTEN TASK:- Team work. Poster about a country in our Erasmus project. It was deleted and in its place the one that was planned as an extension task was carried out: Publication of a comment on the blog. Despite the change, there were many students who did not complete this task.
The oral task was more motivating and was completed by practically all students, only three students did not participate in the dialogue "Masterchef", one student who was ill and two others who did not have time to prepare it. The dialogues are very well.


Debido a la falta de tiempo por la baja de la maestra fue necesario cambiar algunas de las tareas que inicialmente habían sido previstas para esta unidad.  
TAREA  ESCRITA -Trabajo en equipo, Póster sobre uno de los países socios del proyecto Erasmus. Se suprimió y en su lugar se realizó la que estaba prevista como tarea de ampliación: Publicación de un comentario en el blog. A pesar del cambio hubo muchos alumnos que no completaron esta tarea. 
La tarea oral fue más motivadora y fue completada por la práctica totalidad del alumnado, tan sólo tres alumna/os no participaron en el diálogo "Masterchef", una alumna que estaba enferma y otros dos que no tuvieron tiempo de prepararlo. Los diálogos han salido muy bien.

Realizar la encuesta entre compañeros/as, amigos/as y familiares.

2-ORAL: A) Prepare an oral presentation to explain  the results of your survey. Vocabulary about free time, cinema and TV / (TV program, film, movie, actor, free time,  the weather forecast, new, comedy, series, playing football, going to the park, dancing…) . Vocabulario relativo a tiempo libre, cine y TV 

Expressing preferences for their free time/ Expresión de que les gusta hacer en su tiempo libre (I like reading). 

Ask and answer questions (Yes/no questions & Wh questions) / Hacer y responder preguntas 

ASSESSMENT/ VALORACIÓN

Unit 1 was too long and  complicated for many students.

The surveys were carried out through the google page and were sent and completed by email, which increased the digital competence of the students and motivated them to carry out the task as well as providing the results directly in order to be presented. However, the lack of time meant that the pupils in 6th B  could not make their oral presentation about survey results. It was done by pupils in  6th B  although the expositions were very poorly prepared, in most cases pupils just  read   the results. This oral task has not been taken into account for the evaluation of the unit.

The dialogues on cinema and television were prepared and carried out in a very positive way by almost all the students, only three people did not have a good preparation  for this task and they coul not  carry it out properly. Some of the students could even complete the extension task.

La unidad 1 fue demasiado larga y fue muy complicada para muchos alumnos. Las encuestas se realizaron a través de la página de google y fueron enviadas y cumplimentadas por correo electrónico, lo cuál incremento la competencia digital del alumnado y les motivó en la realización de la tarea además de proporcionar los resultados directamente para poder ser presentados. Sin embargo la falta de tiempo hizo que la clase de 6ºB no pudiera realizar la exposición oral sobre sus resultados. Si se realizó en la clase de 6º A, aunque las exposiciones estuvieron muy poco preparadas, limitándose en la mayoría de los casos a la lectura de los resultados. Esta tarea oral no ha sido tenida en cuenta para la evaluación de la unidad. 

Los diálogos sobre cine y televisión si  fueron preparados y realizados en forma muy positiva por casi todo el alumnado, tan solo tres personas no prepararon lo suficiente esta tarea para poder realizarla de forma adecuada.   Algunos de los alumnos pudieron incluso cumplimentar la tarea de ampliación.

POESÍA ERES TÚ

En el marco de la actividad Poesía eres tú, el alumnado de 6º ha preparado dos poesías en inglés que han recitado ante sus compañeros y sus padres.
La primera  ha sido Annabel Lee de Edgar Allan Poem, se ha recitado acompañada de un video que reflejaba la historia y una canción subtitulada en inglés para que fuera más fácil seguir el recitado.
La segunda era una sencilla poesía dedicada a la paz. Enhorabuena  y gracias a todos los participantes  por el gran trabajo realizado.

UNIT 4-FINAL TASK 6

MASTERCHEF

FINAL TASK UNIT 3 6th level. TOURISTIC BROCHURES

Las tareas de la unidad 3, están referidas al viaje de estudios en el que participarán estos alumnos/as al final del curso como colofón a su paso por el colegio. Cada equipo se ha centrado en investigar y trabajar sobre uno de los lugares a visitar durante su viaje. Han elaborado un folleto turístico con los datos del sitio a visitar (incluyendo horarios, precios, lugares interesantes que visitar, cosas que pueden hacer, anécdotas, etc.) posteriormente han creado un diálogo entre unos turistas y unos encargados de agencias de viajes o/y oficinas de turismo que ofrecían información sobre los lugares a visitar. Algunos de los folletos han sido muy atractivos, y van a ser usados realmente durante el viaje. Los diálogos, en su mayoría, han resultado creativos y han demostrado todo lo aprendido sobre como describir lugares. Un trabajo muy satisfactorio para todos/as.

FINAL TASK UNIT 2- 6 A-B

Task 1-Poll -Task 1-Poll -Children in 6th worked in teams about "Spare time", they prepared a questionnaire with 10 questions related to activities  their friends prefere doing during their spare time. They worked with google forms. Them, they explained the results in class. This task was not a succes, children prepared good questions from  a grammar point of view but the questions were not relevant for asking information about free time. Some teams did not have enough time to prepare the forms and they repeated the same questions. 

Oral exposition about the polls, for many teams were just reading the results without any explanation. 

Task 2- Almeria cinema- They used English for explaining the relation about our city and the cinema. They prepare a review about films shot in Almería. They were surprise about how many famous films and series have being shot  here since the sixties.  We prepared a interactive book with the collected information. 

Task 3- A cinema scene- They prepared a scene for a film they loved and performed it in the class. Pupils were really motivated for this activity, they enjoyed a lot and their performances were very good, 

THEATER:

"A class Act"

A fabolous play in Maestro Padilla Auditorium that  everybody could enjoy on Tuesday . Very good for having fun and learning English

These students are used to work in this way, so they did a good job, even if they focused on models more than on language. They will try to improve in next task.
